Skills Bootcamps are designed to build confidence, enhance career prospects, and provide practical, hands-on training in a short time frame. They help learners develop the skills that employers are looking for, enhancing their opportunity to enter a new industry or progress in an existing career. Skills Bootcamps training programme take up to 16 weeks to complete which focuses on specific, industry-aligned skills.
Skills Bootcamps are delivered using a range of methods including face to face, online, practical or workshop sessions. Many Skills Bootcamps emphasise hands-on learning and often incorporate real-world projects.
No prior attainment or experience is required, unless specifically stated by an employer or specifically related to the Skills Bootcamp sector.
Who are the Skills Bootcamps for?
Residents aged 19 and over and living in the Hampshire area are eligible for the Hampshire County Council led Skills Bootcamps. You can be in full-time or part-time employment, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to work after a break.
Skills Bootcamps are free to all learners, but there may be a contribution requirement from the employers. If you are unemployed, you will be offered a guaranteed interview with an employer at the end of your course.
Our Skills Bootcamps have been developed to address current skills needs within the Hampshire area – giving you the skills that we know employers are looking for.
All Skills Bootcamps learners are offered support upon completion of their course to progress within their chosen field. Support offered includes CV review, pastoral support, coaching, and mentoring.
