Supporting people into work and helping businesses thrive
The Get Hampshire Working Plan sets out how partners across Hampshire are working together to support more people into employment and help businesses access the workforce they need.
Get Hampshire Working
The Get Hampshire Working Plan sets out how partners across Hampshire are working together to support more people into employment and help businesses access the workforce they need.
It provides a strategic response to the UK Government’s Get Britain Working White Paper, focusing on increasing employment, reducing economic inactivity, improving job quality and tackling multiple barriers to work.
Developed collaboratively by Hampshire County Council, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the NHS Integrated Care Board and a wide range of local stakeholders, the Plan reflects a shared commitment to delivering joined-up support.
Through coordinated action across skills, employment and economic development, we are creating clear pathways into work, supporting progression and helping people and businesses adapt to a changing economy.
Our approach
We are delivering a joined-up programme of activity aligned with the Get Hampshire Working Plan, the Hampshire Skills Strategy 2025 and the wider ambitions of the Hampshire Skills Partnership.
By working collaboratively, we are ensuring support is:
- Joined-up – connecting skills, employment, health and business support
- Targeted – focused on local needs and priority sectors
- Accessible – helping people at all stages of their employment journey
- Responsive – adapting to changing workforce and economic demands
